SECURITY FEDERAL’S LIGHTS, CAMERA, SAVE! CONTESTANT WINS $5,000 NATIONAL PRIZE
Logansport, IND — Security Federal Savings Bank’s Lights, Camera, Save! local winner, Luke Wiley, Greenwood, Ind., has been named the national winner by the American Bankers Association Foundation. Lights, Camera, Save! is an annual video contest that encourages teen participants to produce a short film that communicates the importance of sound money management.
Wiley, a first-time entrant, is the national winner of Lights, Camera, Save! and has won a $5,000 grand prize and a scholarship for a teacher at his school to attend the 2019 Jump$tart National Educator Conference.
“Our Security Federal team is overjoyed that Luke is the national winner. His video showed clear skill and painted a funny and entertaining picture of the importance of smart spending habits,” said Annette Russell, Chief Executive Officer and President for Security Federal. “Last year our local winner placed in the top five in the country and this year Luke won nationals. The contest has grown in popularity every year. We feel honored to provide a way for young filmmakers, potentially future entrepreneurs, to show off their work while incorporating the importance of managing their funds wisely.”
This year, 131 banks hosted 149 contests in 48 states as a part of Lights, Camera, Save! Security Federal will once again collect video submissions during the 2019-2020 contest beginning in October.
