AVERAGE DAILY BALANCE The average amount that exists in an account over a period of time. The number is calculated by adding the daily balances over a period of time and dividing by the total number of days in that period.
CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSIT (CD) A deposit account where the account holder has agreed to keep the money in the account for a specified amount of time, anywhere from three (3) months to five (5) years.
