Security Federal was founded in 1934 in Logansport, Indiana, as First Federal Savings & Loan Association. In 1986, we acquired Kokomo Federal Savings & Loan Association, and in 1988, to avoid confusion, we changed our name to Security Federal Savings Bank. We are one of the few remaining mutually owned banks in our area. That means that our depositors all have an ownership stake in our bank. We are the largest bank in Logansport and Cass County, Indiana.
